B/G Bonded goods Goods which are placed in a customs warehouse and not undergone customs clearance
BONDED WAREHOUSE Bonded warehouse Customs warehouse or temporary storage, goods which are stored without the imposition of state taxes
BOOKING NOTE Booking note Application for shipping. It is used for place and container reservation, the information pointed in the application is not considered to be the basis for consignment filling, after application submission the applicant assumes all the responsibilities to deliver cargo to the mentioned term

CIF Cost, insurance and freight A method of sea shipping, when the seller pays for load cost, sea freight and insurance
CFR Cost and freight Means that the seller pays for delivery of the goods at the port, loading and vessel freight, and also provides customs clearance for export of the goods (including fees paid). The buyer pays for the insurance of the goods. The risk of loss or damage, as well as additional costs after the goods pass the ship’s rail passes to the buyer. Terms of delivery CFR are used only for the carriage of goods by sea or inland waterway.
CFS Container freight station A shipping dock where cargo is loaded (“stuffed”) into or unloaded (“stripped”) from containers. Generally, this involves less than container load shipments, although small shipments destined to same consignee are often consolidated. Container reloading from/to rail or motor carrier equipment is a typical activity.

CY Container yard It is a storage place of containers before / after their further shipping. The condition of shipping while departure / arrival – means that the freight forwarder assumes all the responsibilities for shipping organization to / from CY; shipping cost includes the cost of transportation services to / from CY (freight load /unload from ship, placing in CY)
DAP Delivered at place Seller delivers when the goods are placed at the disposal of the buyer on the arriving means of transport ready for unloading at the named place of destination
DAT Delivered at terminal Seller delivers when the goods, once unloaded from the arriving means of transport, are placed at the disposal of the buyer at a named terminal at the named port or place of destination
DC Dry container Dry container
DDP Delivery duty paid It is used, indicating the place of arrival; the seller’s responsibility ends when the goods delivered to the designated location in the buyer’s country; all the risks, all the costs of cargo delivery (taxes, fees, and so on. d.), responsible for the damage and loss of the goods, including taxes and other payments made for import, up to this point assumes the seller. He also is responsible for customs clearance; provisions may be added, releasing the seller from the payment of certain additional formalities; the allocation of responsibility type can be used irrespective of the mode of delivery
DDU Delivery duty unpaid Used with an indication of the place of arrival; the seller’s responsibility ends when the goods delivered to the designated location in the buyer’s country; all the risks, all the costs of cargo delivery (taxes, fees, and so on. d.), responsible for the damage and loss of goods (with the exception of fees and other payments to be paid on import) up to this point assumes the seller. If the buyer does not have time in time to prepare the goods to be imported, he bears responsibility for it. It can be added to the provisions that require the seller to pay some additional formalities. This allocation of responsibility type can be used irrespective of the mode of delivery
DEMURRAGE Demurrage Payment for excess (over free time) use of the container equipment throughout time from the moment of container unloading from a vessel on the moment of its export with freight from the port territory. It is paid to the owner of the container, as a rule, to the navigable line
DES Delivered ех ship The condition of an international contract of sale contained in Incoterms. Seller shall have fulfilled the conditions of the contract, he has provided not cleared for import of goods to the buyer on board the vessel at the named port of destination. The seller has to bear all costs and risks involved in bringing the goods to the named port of destination before discharging
DEQ Delivered ех quay (duty paid) It means the same as DES, except that the risk does not occur until the transition until the product is unloaded at the port of destination
DOOR to Door Door to door Ships from / to door – condition of carriage for departure / arrival, meaning that the cost of carriage includes shipping services from / to the front door / store / destination

FАS Free alongside ship The seller bears the costs of delivery to the port of departure. The seller fulfills its obligations to deliver the goods at the time when the goods are placed alongside the vessel on the quay (at the agreed port of shipment). Buyer pays shipping charges, freight ship, insurance, unloading and delivery to the destination. The risk shall pass upon delivery to the port of loading dock
FCA Free carrier The seller fulfills his obligation to deliver when he delivers the goods cleared from the export duties, a carrier appointed by the buyer at the named place. Said the place of delivery influences the obligations of loading and unloading the goods at that place. If the delivery takes place in the seller’s premises, the seller is responsible for shipping. If delivery occurs at any other place, the seller is not responsible for the shipment
FCL Full container loading Container filled with a load receiver
FOB Free on board The seller must deliver the goods to the port and loaded on the ship specified by the buyer; costs in bringing the goods on board the vessel borne by the seller. In some ports in the supply fob shipping charges carries the buyer. The risk of accidental loss or damage to property vested in the seller – until the goods cross the ship, and the buyer – from that point. As a rule, the ownership of the goods passes from the seller to the buyer at the same time the risk passes
FEEDER Feeder The ship/line serving the ports away from major transport hubs
FEU Forty-foot equivalent unit The forty foot equivalent units
FI Free in Transportation condition, meaning that freight does not include the cost of loading on the vessel
FIO Free in and out It is a state, when freighters (the sender and the receiver) pay for the costs which concern stevedores hiring and load and unload of the cargo. Ship-owners pay for port fees
FO Free out Transportation condition, meaning that freight does not include the cost of unloading from the vessel
FOR Free on rail Means that agreed rate carriage charge does not include the cost of the loading/unloading of cargo from platform/railcar, cleaning of railcar
FOT Free on track The price included its loading on the truck. Transportation and other costs paid by the buyer

LO Line out Linear conditions while arriving. The conditions under which the freight forwarder provides the following services, the cost of which is included in the freight rate: unload from a ship, placing at the terminal (CY), loading on a vehicle (car, train)
MOTHER VESSEL Mother vessel Large sized linear ship, which serves ports with large cargo turnover

NVOCC Non vessel operating common carrier A cargo consolidator in ocean trades who will buy space from a carrier and subshell it to smaller shippers. The NVOCC issues bills of lading, publishes tariffs and otherwise conducts itself as an ocean common carrier, except that it will not provide the actual ocean or intermodal service.
